Welcome to Kangaroo Point
Popular among picnickers and walkers, the shoreline at Kangaroo Point is dominated by dramatic rhyolite cliffs. Floodlit at night, these cliffs are attractive remnants of a quarry sourcing stone for much of Brisbane's early development.
Overlooking the Botanic Gardens, the Kangaroo Point cliffs also provide extensive views of Brisbane. The area offers plenty of sports and recreational activities, from abseiling down the cliffs to climbing the Story Bridge to cycling along the scenic Riverside Bikeway.
Those who prefer to watch their sport will love the comfort of the Pineapple Hotel, a popular destination on match day at the Gabba.
