Are you ready to party?

In Brisbane you can seriously dance until your feet hurts and your last bit of energy drop. Nightclubs and discotheques are centred on the Valley (Fortitude Valley), but you can still find some good ones in other districts and suburbs. The effervescent and ever-changing nightclub scene attracts a mixed of straight and gay crowd.

Beware, like everywhere else, bouncers need little excuse to refuse you entry or evict you – especially if you are male. Avoid wearing tank-tops, shorts or thongs. Opt for ‘Street wear’.

Don’t forget to carry an ID that proof your age such as national ID card, passport, Queensland Transport + 18 Card, Australian Drive License, etc.

Local's Tip: if you are in the Valley, it’s late and you are hungry, New York Pizza (360 Brunswick Street), offers take-away until late. It’s a very popular place and the pizzas are quite yummy.
